Emad Hazboun has been a passionate and dedicated hunter for over 30 years. His deep connection to the outdoors and meticulous attention to detail have shaped his lifelong commitment to hunting. For Emad, hunting is more than a pastime—it holds profound personal meaning and has driven his pursuit of knowledge and expertise. Over the years, his dedication has led him to study the animals he hunts with scientific rigor, believing that greater knowledge makes for better, more ethical hunters. Emad is recognized for his knowledge in whitetail deer hunting, particularly for his proficiency with various techniques and deep understanding of deer behavior. Academically, Emad holds a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Seneca College, a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Biology, and a Master of Science degree from Western University. His master’s thesis focused on the Mourning Dove, the most hunted migratory bird species in North America. Emad’s passion for wildlife conservation was the main driver behind this research, in which he investigated the geographic origins of hunted doves to identify their breeding grounds—knowledge that is fundamentally important for monitoring and sustainably managing Mourning Dove populations. His passion for wildlife conservation is centered on ensuring the long-term sustainability of hunted species. Since 2001, Emad has focused extensively on whitetail deer research. He is known for his knowledge about whitetail deer behavior and biology. His most recent study on buck scrape behavior represents the latest research in Ontario. He has also conducted and presented presentations on deer color perception, known as "Deer Vision." Emad continues to invest substantial time and effort into advancing our understanding of whitetail deer ecology through research and fieldwork. An avid bowhunter, Emad finds particular enjoyment in game calling and prefers hunting whitetail deer and wild turkey. When time permits, he also enjoys upland game and waterfowl hunting. His preferred method is bowhunting with a compound bow, which he considers the most rewarding form of the pursuit. In addition to his work in the field, Emad brings more than 28 years of teaching experience. He designs and delivers state-of-the-art educational materials for his courses and seminars, incorporating graphics, illustrations, and animations to enhance learning and engagement.
